Leaks in masonry walls are generally the cause of deteriorated mortar joints. When the water infiltration exceeds the capability of the waterproofing, repairs are required. Depending on the extent of the damaged mortar and masonry, pointing or grouting may be required.

Cracked, spalled and/or deteriorated masonry units should be repaired or replaced. Brick stitching is the process of removing the localized damaged bricks and stitching in new bricks. We will locate the best matching replacement brick and mortar to minimize the appearance of a repair. Stone, concrete and terra cotta units are replaced in a similar fashion. There are less expensive and still very effective repair procedures for damaged units that do not require replacement.
